How a custom piece happens

From stencil to skin.

Four steps, no surprises. You know the price range before you pay a deposit, and you see the drawing before the needle comes out.

  1. Free consult

Twenty minutes with your artist, in person or on video. Bring photos, sizes and the story. You leave with a plan, a price range and a date.

  2. Deposit and drawing

A $100 or $200 deposit holds the date and pays for drawing time. Your artist draws the piece for your body, not a copy of someone else's.

  3. The violet line

On the day, you see the drawing and we adjust it. The stencil goes on in violet, you check it in the mirror, and nothing is tattooed until you say yes.

  4. Heal and touch up

You go home with written aftercare, a text check-in on day 3, and one free touch-up within 90 days if any spot heals light.

Hygiene

Clean is a checklist, not a vibe.

Gloved hand holding a tattoo machine fitted with a sealed, single-use needle cartridge
A sealed, single-use cartridge. Opened in front of you, binned after.
  1. Single-use needles

Every needle is a sealed, sterile, single-use cartridge, opened in front of you and dropped in a sharps container when we finish. Never reused, never "cleaned".

  2. Fresh ink, every time

Ink is poured into single-use caps for each client. What is left over goes in the trash, never back in the bottle.

  3. Barrier film

The machine, cord, bottles and chair are wrapped in plastic barrier film that is replaced for every client.

  4. Glove changes

Nitrile gloves, changed every time an artist touches anything outside the clean setup, like a phone, a pen or a light.

  5. Real disinfection

Stations are wiped with an EPA-registered hospital disinfectant and left wet for the full contact time on the label. Not a quick spray.

  6. Sterilized steel

Piercing tools and any reusable steel are scrubbed, then run through our autoclave. It is spore-tested every month and the log sits at the front desk.

  7. Trained, every year

Every artist and our piercer renew bloodborne pathogens training each year, and our state body art licenses hang by the door.

All questions

How old do I have to be?

18 or older for tattoos and piercings. No exceptions, even with a parent present.

How do deposits work?

Once your artist accepts the project, you pay a $100 deposit (pieces under 3 hours) or $200 (longer work). It holds the date, pays for drawing time, and comes off your last session.

What is your minimum?

$120 for any tattoo. It covers setup, single-use supplies, and most pieces under an hour.

Do you reuse needles?

Never. Every needle is a sealed, sterile, single-use cartridge, opened in front of you and thrown out in a sharps container.

Bring the idea. We'll draw the line.

Free 20-minute consults, in person or on video. You leave with a plan, a price range and a date, and nothing is tattooed until you approve the stencil.
