The piece
Made to be lived with.
The Halden keeps things quiet. A solid walnut top floats on a pair of slab legs, each edge eased with a hand-planed chamfer that catches the light and softens the silhouette. There is no veneer and no hardware on show — just continuous grain wrapping the corners.
We finish it in hardwax oil rather than lacquer, so the surface stays open, repairable, and warm under the hand. A ring or a scuff sands out in minutes; the table is meant to gather marks, not hide from them.

Care
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and use coasters under hot or wet glasses. Refresh the oil finish once or twice a year, or whenever the surface looks dry, with a clear hardwax oil applied along the grain.
