House rules

Walk-ins, wait times, cancellations and lateness. These apply to every chair, every day.

01 Walk-ins

Walk-ins are welcome when a chair is open. We serve walk-ins in order of arrival, between booked appointments.

Booked clients go first. If the list is long when you arrive, we'll tell you how many people are ahead of you so you can wait, come back, or book a time instead.

02 Wait times

We don't post or guarantee a walk-in wait time, because it depends on which services are booked that hour.

Saturdays are mostly booked ahead, so walk-in waits are usually longest then. Call the shop if you want to ask how it looks before you head over.

03 Cancellations

Please cancel or move your booking at least 12 hours ahead, using the link in your confirmation or by calling the shop.

After two no-shows, we ask for a card to hold future bookings. We don't charge a fee for a first missed appointment.

04 Running late

We hold your chair for 10 minutes. After 15 minutes we may need to shorten the service or move you to the next open time, so the next client isn't kept waiting.

Booking and walk-ins

Do I need to book, or can I walk in?

Both work. Booking holds a chair at a set time. Walk-ins are served in order of arrival between bookings, so the wait depends on the day.

Can I book a specific barber?

Yes. Pick a barber in step 2 of the booking form, or choose first available to see the most open times.

How far ahead can I book?

Online booking shows the next two weeks. Call the shop for anything further out, like a wedding party.

How do I cancel or move a booking?

Use the link in your confirmation text or email, or call the shop. Please give at least 12 hours' notice.

Prices and payment

Why are prices listed as 'from'?

Most cuts cost the listed price. Very long or thick hair, big restyles and detailed designs can take longer and cost more. Your barber tells you before starting, never after.

What payment do you take?

Debit, all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cash. Prices are in Canadian dollars before GST.

Do I tip?

Tipping is up to you and never expected. If you do, it goes straight to your barber.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, in the shop in any amount. They never expire.

Kids

From what age do you cut kids' hair?

From first haircuts, usually around one year old, up to 12. Teens book the regular menu.

When is the shop quietest for kids?

Weekday afternoons before 3 p.m. Saturdays are busy and loud, which some kids find hard.

The shop

How do you keep tools clean?

Combs, guards and scissors are cleaned and disinfected between every client. Razor blades are single-use and opened in front of you. Capes and towels are fresh for each client.

Is the shop accessible?

Yes. The entrance is at street level with no step, and one chair lowers far enough for an easy transfer from a wheelchair. Tell us in your booking note if you'd like it.

Where do I park?

Street parking on Market Ave and Albert St, metered until 6 p.m. The Old Market Square bus stops are two blocks away.

Service-specific questions live on each service page, for example fades, hot towel shaves and kids' cuts.

Book a chair, or walk in

Booking holds your chair at a set time with the barber you pick. Walk-ins are welcome when a chair is open and are served in order of arrival, between bookings.
