How we do it
The towels do most of the work. Two rounds of warm towels soften the beard and open the skin, then a rich lather and a straight razor take it off with the grain, and again across it if your skin is fine with that.
We finish with a cool towel and a balm with no alcohol in it. If your skin is sensitive or you get bumps, tell us at the start and we'll do one pass only.

Keeping it sharp
A full shave is usually an occasion, not a routine. Head shaves hold for about a week; regulars often book every 1 to 2 weeks.
The booking form shows your barber's open times for the next two weeks, so you can book your next visit before you leave the chair.

Questions
Will a straight razor irritate my skin?
Some skin reacts. Tell us if you get razor bumps and we'll shave with the grain only, or suggest a close trim instead. You can stop at any point.
Is the blade new every time?
Yes. We use single-use blades in a straight-razor handle and open each one in front of you.
Can I add a shave to a haircut?
Yes. The cut plus hot towel shave combo books both back to back with the same barber.
