Size & fit guide

An heirloom should fit like it was always yours. Three ways to find a ring size at home, plus how our chain lengths and bracelets wear — and if in doubt, the atelier will always size you in person.

Finding a ring size

  1. Borrow a ring that fits

Take a ring worn on the intended finger, lay it over a ruler, and measure the inside diameter in millimetres. Match it to the chart — when between sizes, size up.

  2. Or use string and a pen

Wrap a strip of paper or string snugly where the ring will sit, mark the overlap, and measure the length flat. That's the circumference column.

  3. Or let us mail you a sizer

Request a complimentary ring sizer with any appointment or inquiry — it ships free, and it's the method the atelier trusts most.

Aurelia rings are offered in sizes 5–9, including half sizes. Outside that range? The atelier makes any size to order — just ask.

Fitting notes from the bench

  • Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest — cold morning hands run a half-size small.
  • If the knuckle is the widest point, measure it too and choose the size between knuckle and base.
  • Wide bands (like the Aurea signet) wear snugger — go up half a size from your usual.
  • Between sizes? Size up. A comfortable ring can be beaded to fit; a tight one cannot be worn.

Necklace lengths

  • 16"

    Collar

Sits at the base of the neck. Best for fine chains like Fil worn close, and for high necklines.

  • 18"

    Princess

Rests on the collarbone — the classic pendant length, and where Éa and Verte are photographed.

  • 20"

    Matinee

Falls just below the collarbone. Ideal for layering over a 16-inch chain, or for pendants over knitwear.

Bracelet fit

Measure your wrist snugly with a soft tape just below the wrist bone, then choose the length closest to that measurement plus 1.5 centimetres.

  • 6.5"

Snug fit for wrists up to 15 cm — bracelet stays in place, tennis-style.

  • 7"

The standard fit for 15–17 cm wrists, with a fingertip of movement.

  • 7.5"

Relaxed drape for 17 cm+ wrists, or a looser chain-bracelet look.
