Attorneys and staff
Five people, one focus: older adults and the families beside them. Your first meeting is always with an attorney.

-
Margaret Stillwell
Founding attorney
Licensed in Virginia since 2001
- Medicaid planning
- Long-term care planning
Margaret started the firm in 2009, a few years after helping her own parents through nursing home care. She leads Medicaid and long-term care planning and still does most first meetings herself. Families say she is the one who finally made the look-back make sense.
-
Daniel Okafor
Attorney
Licensed in Virginia since 2011
- Guardianship
- Conservatorship
- Elder abuse
Daniel spent his first years in practice at a legal aid office, where he saw how often older adults were taken advantage of. He handles court work: guardianship, conservatorship and cases where money or property needs to be protected or recovered.
-
Priya Raman
Attorney
Licensed in Virginia since 2016
- Veterans benefits
- Powers of attorney
- Estate administration
Priya grew up in a military family and is accredited by the VA to help with benefits claims. She works with veterans and surviving spouses, prepares powers of attorney and directives, and guides executors after a parent's death.
-
Rosa Delgado
Medicaid application coordinator
With the firm since 2014
- Applications
- Records requests
Rosa keeps every Medicaid application moving. She builds the document list, follows up with banks, and is usually the voice you hear when the caseworker has a question.
-
Ben Hartley
Client care coordinator
With the firm since 2019
- Family meetings
- Care options
Ben worked for many years with hospital discharge teams before joining us. He helps families understand care options, sets up home and facility visits, and makes sure no question waits too long. He is not a lawyer and does not give legal advice.
Who we represent
When an adult child calls about a parent, the parent is usually our client. That means we take direction from your parent, keep their confidences, and make sure the plan reflects their wishes. With their permission, we are glad to keep the family informed, and we often hold family meetings so everyone hears the same thing at the same time.
Talk it through with someone who does this every day.
Book a consultation online in about three minutes, or call and a real person will answer. We return every call within one business day.
