“We called on a Tuesday after Dad's rehab said he couldn't go home. Margaret met us that Thursday and explained Medicaid in a way my brother and I finally understood. She was honest that we would have to pay privately for a few months first.”
Linda R. · Daughter Medicaid planning

“I'm 81 and I don't like being talked down to. Nobody here did. They came to my house to sign my papers and read every page with me at my kitchen table.”
Evelyn T. · Client Powers of attorney

“Guardianship for my mother was the hardest thing I've ever done. Daniel told us what the guardian ad litem would ask, and the hearing was calm. He made sure Mom's own voice was heard, too.”
Marcus J. · Son Guardianship

“Priya helped with my father's VA application and told us plainly what the fee rules were. It took months, but we were never left wondering where it stood.”
Angela P. · Daughter VA Aid and Attendance

“Good advice and kind people. The paperwork took longer than I hoped, mostly waiting on old bank records, but Rosa kept after it every week.”
Tom K. · Husband Medicaid planning

“After a paid helper took money from my aunt, we didn't know where to turn. They helped us cancel the power of attorney and work with Adult Protective Services. We didn't get it all back, but it stopped.”
Denise M. · Niece Elder abuse
-
“Settling Mom's estate from three states away felt impossible. A short to-do list every month made it something I could actually manage.”
Robert H. · Son Estate administration
Example outcomes
Elder law rarely ends in a single win or loss. These examples show the range, including matters that did not go the way the client hoped.

Example outcome Went as planned
A spouse at home kept the house
Medicaid planning
A husband needed nursing home care after a stroke. His wife stayed in their home. With planning the rules allowed, the application was approved and she kept the house and part of their income for her own living costs.
-
Example outcome Partly as hoped
A gift meant a waiting period
Medicaid planning
A mother had given a large gift to a grandchild three years before she needed care. Medicaid applied a penalty period. The family paid privately for several months while we timed the application to start on the right date. Not the answer they hoped for, but no surprises.

Example outcome Not the result the client wanted
The court chose a neutral guardian
Guardianship
Two siblings each asked to be their father's guardian and could not agree. After the hearing, the judge appointed a professional guardian instead of either of them. Our client did not get the role she wanted, but her father had a safe plan.
-
Example outcome Not the result the client wanted
Only part of the money came back
Elder abuse
A family member had used a power of attorney to move money into his own account. The court ordered repayment, but he had little left to collect. The misuse stopped and some funds were returned. Most were not.
