If you have a DAF
Why DAF works for Lifeline Aid
DAFs are increasingly popular giving vehicle. Tax benefit at contribution, flexibility on grant timing. Major DAFs (Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, Vanguard Charitable) integrate with Lifeline Aid donation system.
How to recommend a grant
Through your DAF’s online portal: search ‘Lifeline Aid Foundation’ or use EIN 47-3829410. Recommend grant amount + recipient (Lifeline Aid Foundation). DAF processes within 5-10 business days. We receive directly.
DAF grant restrictions
Grants from DAFs can be unrestricted (most common) or restricted to specific programs. Most DAFs allow restricted grants; some don’t. Check with your DAF if specific restriction matters.
DAF benefits for donors
Tax deduction at original DAF contribution date. Investment growth in DAF tax-free. Recommend grants over time. No required distribution timeline. Flexibility + privacy.
DAF benefits for Lifeline Aid
Predictable major donor pipeline. DAF-recommended grants tend to be larger ($5k-$50k+ typical). Donors who use DAFs are often long-term major donors. Strong relationship category.
