Emergency Logistics Coordinator
Response Operations — deployment roster · Nairobi hub, with deployments up to 8 weeks · Full-time
$58,000–$72,000 + deployment terms (illustrative band)
You keep the promise in our tagline. When a response activates, you manifest the stock, book the freight, and make the first 72 hours run like the model says it should.
What you'd do
- Maintain readiness of pre-positioned stock at the Nairobi hub — counts, condition, and manifests always current
- Coordinate first-dispatch logistics during activations: charters, trucking, customs, and port handling
- Work under local partner leadership in-country; your job is to make their distribution plan move
- Write the logistics sections of public situation reports — including the constraints
- Contribute to after-action reviews and keep the 72-hour model honest
What you'd bring
- 3+ years of humanitarian or commercial logistics, including freight forwarding or warehouse operations
- Experience working with — not around — local partner organizations
- Calm, methodical judgment under time pressure; fluent English, French or Swahili a strong plus
- Eligibility to be based in Nairobi and deploy internationally on short notice
