Questions + answers
The questions people whisper at the desk.
Asked constantly, answered plainly. If yours isn't here, call the studio — a human answers during studio hours, and nobody has ever asked us a silly question about massage.
How undressed do I need to be?
Only as much as you're comfortable with — every treatment can be adapted, and you are always covered by sheets except the area being worked on. Plenty of guests keep clothes on; effective massage happens either way.
Do I have to talk during the massage?
No. Your RMT will check in about pressure early on, and after that follows your lead. Say 'I'd rather be quiet' at any point and that's the whole conversation.
Can you bill my insurance directly?
Usually, yes. We direct-bill most major Canadian extended-health plans; you pay only whatever your plan doesn't cover. If your insurer doesn't allow direct billing, you'll get an official RMT receipt to submit yourself.
Are your prices really the whole price?
Prices are in CAD and HST is added at checkout — that's the only addition. Deep tissue costs the same as relaxation, and we're a no-tipping studio: massage therapy here is healthcare, and tips are neither expected nor accepted.
Will I be sore afterwards?
After firm or deep work, some next-day tenderness — like a good workout — is common and settles within a day or two. Sharp or lasting pain is not normal; call us and we'll have your RMT follow up.
Is massage safe during pregnancy?
Yes, in all trimesters, with a prenatally trained RMT and side-lying positioning — which is exactly how our prenatal treatment is set up. If your pregnancy is high-risk, check with your midwife or OB first and tell us what they say.
Do cupping marks hurt?
No — the circular marks are drawn blood flow, not bruises from impact, and they're painless. They fade over three to seven days. Skip cupping before a backless-dress event.
What's your cancellation policy?
Full refund or free rebooking with 24 hours' notice. Inside 24 hours we charge half the treatment price; no-shows are charged in full. Illness is the exception — please don't bring us your flu, and we won't charge you for staying home.
Where do I park?
Two dedicated spots behind the building off Bellamy Lane, free street parking after 6 p.m., and the Wilson Street garage is a four-minute walk. Bike racks by the front door.
What if I fall asleep?
Then the treatment is working. It happens every day and your RMT will simply carry on — snoring included, no judgment.
