Fern & Fascia Massage therapy + spa

Your first visit

No surprises is the whole point.

First massages come with questions people feel silly asking. Here's the entire visit, minute by minute, plus the billing and cancellation fine print in full-size print.

  1. Before you arrive

    • Your online intake is already on your RMT's screen — the health flags, the notes, the pressure you asked for.
    • Arrive five minutes early. There's tea, two armchairs, and no retail gauntlet between the door and the treatment rooms.
    • Wear anything. You'll undress only to your comfort level, and you're under sheets the whole time.
  2. The first ten minutes

    • A short conversation, not an interrogation: what hurts, what you want from the hour, anything the intake missed.
    • Your RMT leaves while you settle onto the table, knocks before returning, and checks the pressure within the first few strokes.
    • Say more, less, slower, warmer — adjustments are the job, not an imposition.
  3. The treatment

    • Quiet by default. If you said you'd rather not talk, nobody talks.
    • Heat, oil, and draping adjust to you. Scent-free is always available — say so in your intake notes.
    • Falling asleep is common and considered a good result.
  4. Afterwards

    • Water, a minute to surface, and honest advice: what your RMT found, what might help, and how soon — if at all — to come back.
    • Payment and direct billing happen at the desk. Your official RMT receipt goes out by email before you're home.
    • Next-day tenderness after firm work is normal; sharp pain isn't — call us if anything feels wrong.

Money, plainly

Insurance, receipts, and the fine print.

Direct billing

We submit to most major Canadian extended-health insurers while you put your coat on — you pay only what your plan doesn't cover. Bring your policy details to your first visit, or add them to the intake notes when booking. If your plan can't be billed directly, your official RMT receipt works for manual claims.

The three policies we quote verbatim

  • Cancellation. Change or cancel free with 24 hours' notice. Inside 24 hours: half the treatment price. No-shows: full price. Sick? Stay home — no charge.
  • Tipping. A no-tipping studio. RMT treatment is healthcare; the price is the price.
  • Prices. Prices in CAD. HST added at checkout. Official RMT receipts for every treatment.

Fern & Fascia

That's the whole mystery. Now book the hour.

Treatment, pressure, therapist, time — about a minute of choices, then a confirmation code and a quiet room with your name on it.
