Delivery & returns
Furniture buying falls apart at the doorstep, so this page answers the doorstep questions first: what it costs to get here, how long it takes, and what happens if it isn't right.
Two ways through your door
| Service | Cost | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Standard delivery |
$59 free over $999 |
Boxed and tracked to your door or building lobby. Assembly hardware and tools are in the box; most pieces assemble in 10–45 minutes. |
| White-glove delivery | $199 flat | A scheduled two-person crew carries the piece to its room, assembles and places it, and takes every scrap of packaging away for recycling. Book stairs, elevators and awkward hallways with us in advance. |
You choose between the two at checkout, and the totals update before you confirm anything.
Lead times, honestly
We don't warehouse finished furniture — pieces are built when you order them. Every product page shows its own lead time next to the price, but the shape of it is:
- Parcel pieces
- 1–4 weeks
- Side tables, chairs, stools, shelves — smaller pieces that ship by courier.
- Freight pieces
- 4–8 weeks
- Sofas, beds, tables and case goods — built to order and moved by a two-person freight team.
When your piece leaves the workshop you'll get a tracking note, and freight deliveries are booked with you for a two-hour window — not a "sometime Thursday".
Returns: 30 days, no essay required
- You have 30 days from delivery to decide. Live with it, sit on it, measure it against the drawing.
- If it isn't right, write to us and we'll arrange the return — courier label for parcel pieces, a pickup crew for freight pieces.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method within 5 business days of the piece reaching us.
- Return shipping is deducted from the refund at the same rates as delivery: $59 parcel, $199 freight pickup.
- Every frame carries a 10-year structural warranty; covers, finishes and moving parts are covered for 2 years.
Asked often
Can I choose white-glove for just one item in my order?
Delivery is chosen per order, not per item — mixing crews and couriers on one order is how things get lost. If you'd like to split an order across the two services, place it as two orders or ask us to arrange it.
What if the piece doesn't fit through my door?
Check the drawing first: every product page lists the piece's assembled dimensions, and anything that won't pass a standard 76 cm opening says so in its spec table. If a white-glove crew can't get a piece in safely, it comes back with them and we refund you in full, less the delivery fee.
Do you deliver outside Canada?
This demo store pretends to ship across Canada and the continental US. Nothing actually ships — Maren Home is a fictional brand on a sample website.
How do returns work on made-to-order upholstery?
Same 30 days as everything else. Upholstered pieces are made to order, so we ask that covers stay on and pets stay off until you've decided — returned pieces are donated or resold as seconds, never landfilled.
Something else on your mind? Ask us directly — a person answers, usually the same day.
