Four staff-built systems.
Honest tradeoffs.
Bundle and save.
Twenty years of experience compressed into four reference rigs. Each one is a complete system the listening-room team uses themselves. Buy one component or the whole bundle — full-rig orders save 8%, ship fully cabled, with the audition window doubled to 60 days.

Match the source to the headphone — not the spec sheet.
The mistake most listeners make is over-spending on the headphone and under-spending on the source. A $4,000 headphone fed by a laptop’s onboard audio sounds worse than a $400 headphone fed by a competent DAC + amp. We balance the spend so each piece pulls its weight.
What we don’t do: recommend cables that cost more than the headphone. Recommend tube amps to buyers who haven’t lived with one before. Recommend “reference” gear in rooms with poor acoustics. Sell what pays best — the team is salaried, not commissioned.
The first-rig system
The minimum viable serious system. Solves the source bottleneck without over-spending. Most listeners stay here for years before upgrading — and many never feel the need to.
The reference system
The peak value/dollar tier. The HD 800 S is still our most-recommended reference headphone after eight years on the market. Pair it with the Bifrost 2/64 R-2R DAC and you’re hearing what the music actually sounds like.

Buy the bundle. Live with it. Send it back if it’s wrong.
Full-rig bundle orders get a 60-day in-home audition window — double the standard 30 days. We pay shipping both ways. No restocking fee, no “like new” condition fine print.
If the rig is wrong for your room, your music, or just doesn’t click, send it back. We’ll refund or swap components individually. The audition window is what makes blind-buying a full system viable.
The endgame system
The Focal Utopia 2025 + Holo Spring 3 KTE + Ferrum OOR/HYPSOS combo. This is what most of the listening-room team runs at home. Diminishing returns start to bite at this tier — but the gains over the reference system are real and audible.
The statement system
For listeners who’ve been on the journey 10+ years and know exactly what they want. Susvara + May KTE + Cayin HA-300B MK2 tube amp. We won’t pretend the gains are linear with cost — but the system has character that the lower tiers can’t match.

Rig updates the day they happen
When the listening team swaps a component in any of the four rigs, we send the rationale, the measurement delta, and the listening notes. 1-2 emails a month.
