About us

Founded the day the answer had to be "that's all we offer"

In 2009, Dana Whitfield was a captive agent with a client whose renewal had jumped for the second year running. The company's best rate wasn't good enough, and the rules said there was nothing else to sell. So she left, hung an independent licence on a door in Westerville, and signed contracts with four carriers so the next "that's all we offer" would never have to happen.

Four carriers became 12. One desk became five. The rule never changed: the client hears every option we can find, in plain English, including the option of staying put.

How we work

Three house rules

Plain English or it doesn't ship

If we can't explain a coverage in two sentences a neighbor would understand, we're not done preparing. Jargon is where bad surprises hide.

Advice you'd give your own family

Sometimes that means less coverage than you asked for. Sometimes it means "stay with your current insurer." The commission never gets a vote.

Nobody shops alone at renewal

Every renewal that jumps more than 10% gets re-quoted across the market before you even see it. Loyalty should be earned annually — by the carrier, not assumed of you.

The team

Five licensed humans. Zero phone trees.

Dana Whitfield

Principal agent & founder

Complex households — multiple properties, teen drivers, umbrellas that actually connect.

Ask about: why she left a captive carrier in 2009 and never looked back.

22 yrs licensed · OH licence #771302 (fictional)

Marcus Oyelaran

Personal lines advisor

First homes, first babies, first umbrellas — the years when coverage needs change fastest.

Ask about: the coverage checkup he runs on every new client, no exceptions.

11 yrs licensed · OH licence #814556 (fictional)

Priya Raman

Life insurance specialist

Term-first life planning; finding the carrier whose underwriting is kindest to your health file.

Ask about: why she talks half her clients into less coverage than they asked for.

9 yrs licensed · OH licence #839914 (fictional)

Tom Kaczmarek

Claims advocate

Your person when something goes wrong — files with you, translates adjuster-speak, chases the check.

Ask about: the tree-on-the-roof claim he settled while the family was still at the lake.

15 yrs licensed · OH licence #802133 (fictional)

Lena Ferreira

Service & renewals

Re-shops every renewal that jumps more than 10% — before you have to call and ask.

Ask about: her renewal spreadsheet, lovingly known as 'the gauntlet'.

6 yrs licensed · OH licence #856701 (fictional)

Why no headshots?

Because these five people are fictional, and pretending stock photos are staff crosses our honesty line. A real agency's site — the kind we'd build — would show its real, unretouched humans.

Around town

The porch light habit

We sponsor the Westerville North robotics team, run the free "read your renewal" table at the farmers' market every June, and teach a twice-a-year insurance-basics night at the library — no pitch, no sign-up sheet by the door. If our name's on it, the light's on for everyone. (Illustrative community activity — fictional agency, sample site.)

Next step

Not sure what you're missing? Start there.

The five-minute coverage checkup finds the gaps in plain English — no premium guessing, no obligation, nothing stored. Then, if you want numbers, we shop your details across our carriers for real.
