Dental implants, All-on-4 and full-mouth reconstruction in Des Moines
A smile you don't have to hide.
Three specialists and our own lab, under one roof. Whether implants are right for you is decided by a 3D CT scan and an exam, never by a sales pitch.
Start with what's going on
Pick the one that sounds most like you. Each one opens the treatment people in your spot ask about most.
Why patients choose Fairhold
Specialists who plan your teeth first
- One roof, three specialists
- A prosthodontist designs your teeth. A periodontist or oral surgeon places the implants. Our lab makes the teeth. Nobody hands you off.
- The scan decides
- Your 3D CT scan shows the bone you have, the nerve and the sinuses. Candidacy comes from that and an exam, not from a phone call.
- Prices as ranges, then in writing
- Every treatment shows an example range per tooth or per arch. See costs and financing.
Made here
Our own lab, down the hall
Crowns, bridges, dentures and full-arch teeth are designed and finished by Wes Hartigan and two technicians, a few steps from the chair. When a front tooth needs matching, the person shaping it comes and looks at your face. When a temporary cracks, it's often fixed the same day.

Common reasons people come in
Most people don't know the name of the treatment they need. They know what's wrong. Start there.
- A lower denture that floats or drops
- Front tooth lost to an injury
- Teeth worn down by grinding
- A bridge that keeps coming loose
- Gum disease and loose teeth
- Missing back teeth and hard chewing
- Upper denture covering the palate
- Not enough bone after years of a denture
- A bite that has collapsed over time
- Cracked tooth after a root canal
What a patient said
“I hid my mouth in every photo for ten years. Nobody here made me feel judged, not once. The first week was sore and I lived on soup, but I left with teeth the same day, and the final ones look like mine, only better behaved.”
Honest answers
What can go wrong, said plainly
Most implants heal well. Some don't. Implants are surgery, and nobody can promise a result. Here is what can happen, and what we do about it.
Risks and the long term- Infection Treated with cleaning and antibiotics. We check you closely in the first weeks.
- Implant failure Sometimes the bone doesn't bond. The implant is removed, the site heals, and another try is often possible.
- Bone loss over time Gum infection around implants can wear bone away. Cleanings and not smoking matter most.
- Nerve irritation Numbness in the lower lip or chin is usually temporary. Planning on the CT scan keeps a safe distance.
- Sinus problems Upper back implants sit near the sinus, which may need extra care while it heals.
After treatment
What usually changes, realistically
- Eating. Soft foods while you heal. With final teeth, most people eat a normal diet, carefully around very hard foods.
- Talking. New full-arch teeth or dentures can feel odd for a week or two. Reading aloud helps.
- Care. Brushing, a water flosser and cleanings every 3 to 6 months. Implants can still get gum disease.
- Feeling. We can't promise how you'll feel about your smile. We can show you the design before anything is final.
