How we work

Direct, never relayed

Every order is taken, made and delivered by us. We don't belong to a wire service, so nobody takes a cut and nobody across the country retypes your card message.

The cutoff, in plain numbers

Same-day orders close at 1 p.m. on weekdays for the peninsula and earlier for towns further out. The fee for each zone is printed before you pay, not after.

Honest about swaps

Flowers are seasonal. If a stem isn't good enough on the day, we swap it for one of the same color and value, and we call you first if the swap changes the look.

In the cooler

What's in season, month by month

We buy from four Maine and New England farms from May to October. In the colder months most flowers come from growers in Ecuador, Colombia and the Netherlands through a wholesaler in Boston. We'd rather tell you than pretend.

This October: the last local dahlias are in, and Maine winterberry has just started.

  • Same-day birthday

"Ordered at 11:40 for my sister's birthday and they were on her step before four. They texted me a photo first, which I loved."

    Megan R. · West End

  • Sympathy

"I didn't know what to write. June on the phone helped me with two lines that said exactly what I meant. The basket was soft and lovely."

    Daniel O. · South Portland

  • Anniversary

"Beautiful arrangement. They called to say the peach roses weren't good that day and swapped in ranunculus. Different from the photo, but honestly nicer."
