Grade II — Older restoration, maturing
Few motor cars carry the vintage era on their shoulders the way a 4½ Litre does. This example wears open touring coachwork in the classic four-seat style, finished in deep Brunswick green over green hide, with the tall nickel radiator and centre-lock wire wheels that define the breed.
Restored to a high standard in the late 1980s and maintained without interruption since, it has mellowed into exactly the kind of vintage Bentley the touring community prizes: strong oil pressure, an easy gearbox once known, and a file of invoices, event entries and correspondence that runs to three binders.
Graded Grade II — Older restoration, maturing under the Ferrobello grading standard. A high-quality restoration that has settled in beautifully — light mellowing of paint and leather, mechanically kept without compromise. Often the most rewarding grade to own and drive.
