The Aldous borrows a mid-century idea and finishes it properly: a deep headboard with two sliding-door compartments for books, glasses, and the phone you're trying to read less. The ledge between them holds a lamp.
The rail-and-slat system is rated for any mattress, no box spring needed, and assembles with one included tool.
