Why it's built this way
The Vesper is scaled for corners: 74 cm wide, so it fits where a lounge chair won't, with a back tall enough to actually lean into. The seat is sprung, not slabbed, which is why it feels a size more expensive than it is.
The matte-black steel base lifts it off the floor and keeps the visual weight low.
