The Fireweed does one job — turn cold water into dinner, fast — and does it at 89 grams. The 3.1-kilowatt burner boils a litre in three and a half minutes at valley elevation, and the wide serrated pot supports hold everything from a 500 ml mug to our 1.9-litre Basecamp pot without the tippy feeling.
The piezo igniter is built into the valve stem where it's protected from pot slop, and the flame ring is recessed to keep a breeze from stealing half your fuel. Folds to the size of an egg; the hard case doubles as a measuring cup.
