Daily attendance. Class schedules with classroom locations. Field trips + special events on calendar.
Communications + announcements
Direct messaging with faculty advisors. Class + grade-level announcements. School-wide announcements. Parent association updates.
Lunch menus + cafeteria
Weekly lunch menus. Allergy accommodations + alternative options. Pre-payment for lunch. Online lunch ordering for special days.
Billing + financial
Tuition invoicing + payment. Field trip + activity fees. Annual giving fund (separate). Financial aid year-over-year tracking.
Parent association + volunteering
Parent association events + signups. Volunteer opportunities (drivers, classroom helpers, fundraising). Class + grade representatives.

What students access
Class schedule + assignments
Personal schedule with classroom locations + assignments. Daily homework + long-term projects. Lower School teachers post homework; Middle + Upper School students manage their own.
Email + messaging
School-issued email account. Faculty messaging access (with parent oversight Lower School).

Digital library access. Online research databases. Subscriptions to academic + age-appropriate resources.
Grades + transcripts
Grade view + progress reports. Senior students: complete transcript access for college applications.

Sign up for clubs, after-school activities, athletic teams. Some require parent approval (Lower + Middle School).

What to expect
Account creation by school
Marlowe creates portal accounts for parents + students at start of academic year. New families receive setup instructions in their welcome packet (late August).
Setup steps
1. Click setup link in welcome email. 2. Create password. 3. Verify email + phone. 4. Configure notification preferences. 5. Sign required digital forms.
Required digital forms
Annual emergency contact form. Field trip permission template. Tech use agreement. Photo release. Allergy + dietary information. Most submitted before school start.
Mobile app
Marlowe Parent app available iOS + Android. Same features as web portal. Push notifications for grades, announcements, urgent communications.
Two-factor authentication
Required for parent accounts. Authenticator app or SMS supported. Helps protect student information.
Multiple guardians
Both parents/guardians can have separate accounts with same student access. Useful for divorced parents, grandparent guardians, etc. Up to 4 guardian accounts per student.
Privacy + safety
How student data is protected
Student data privacy
Marlowe complies with FERPA + state student data privacy laws. Student data not sold or shared with third parties for marketing. Parent has right to review + correct data.
Photo + media policies
Photo release form determines whether student photos appear in school publications + website + social media. Default is opt-in; parents can opt out.
Communication privacy
Parent-faculty messaging is confidential. Stored on school systems with access controls. Not shared without explicit permission.
Account security
Two-factor authentication required. Account lockout after 5 failed attempts. Password requirements + rotation. Account activity logging for audit.
Data retention
Student records retained per state law (typically 5+ years post-graduation). Active student data + alumni records distinct. Right-to-be-forgotten honored where legally applicable.
Reporting safety concerns
Anonymous reporting tool integrated into portal. Concerns about bullying, safety, mental health can be reported with identity protected if requested.
