Dr. Mehta opened Sunside in 2011 with a simple bet: if you give families more time, you need less of everything else — fewer repeat visits, fewer prescriptions written just to end an appointment, fewer worried 2 a.m. searches.
Fifteen years later he still books the practice's longest appointments and remains the first call for families whose kids have more going on than a checklist can hold. He believes the parent in the room is the most underused diagnostic instrument in medicine, and he runs his visits accordingly.
