How we handle it
Most owners don't think about a lawyer until a vendor, a landlord or a big customer sends a contract that needs a signature by Friday. That's exactly when we're useful.
We read it, mark it up, and send you a one-page summary that says which clauses matter, which are normal, and what we'd ask to change. For the contracts you send out, we write templates that fit how you actually work.
Call us when
- A vendor or landlord sent a contract that needs a signature soon
- You're using a template you found online and aren't sure it fits
- A customer won't pay and your agreement doesn't say what happens next
- You're hiring independent contractors and want the paperwork right
- A big client wants you to sign their contract, not yours
What's included, and what it costs
Always included
- Read by a lawyer within the turnaround we agree on
- A redline with suggested changes and why
- A one-page plain-English summary
- A 20-minute call to walk through it
- One round of follow-up changes
Example fees
Examples, not quotes- Contract review Up to about 20 pages, redline plus summary $400 to $900

Two things owners ask us about
Read the guides-
Find the way out first
Read the termination clause before anything else. How you can end the contract, and what it costs to end it, matters more than most of the pages before it.
-
Watch who covers whom
Indemnity clauses decide who pays if something goes wrong. A one-sided indemnity can quietly put a big customer's risk on your small business.
Not legal advice. These tips are general information for small business owners. Facts matter, so talk to a lawyer about your situation before acting on them.
Contracts questions
Still wondering? See every FAQ or call (208) 555-0164.
How fast can you review a contract?
Five business days is standard. Rush review in two business days or less is often possible and adds 25% to the fee. We tell you up front if we can't meet your deadline.
Will you negotiate with the other side?
Yes. Some owners want to send the changes themselves with our notes; others want us on the email thread. Negotiation is a flat add-on or billed by the hour, your choice, quoted first.
Can I reuse a template you write?
That's the point. Templates are written for repeat use, with notes on which parts you can change yourself and which parts you should call us about.
