Priya opened The Copper Comb in 2019 after a decade in show grooming, and still believes a pet trim deserves show-quality scissor work. She wrote our matting policy — the one that promises a phone call before a shave-down, every time.

Seniors, giants and the deeply suspicious

Marcus does our slowest grooms on purpose. Arthritic seniors get mats broken up over two shorter visits instead of one long one, and hundred-pound dogs get a groomer who never rushes a hip.

Cats — nervous first-timers and lion cuts

Dana runs our cat mornings: dogs out of the building, lobby lights low, one cat at a time. She grooms without sedation, without a second pair of hands unless invited, and without ever blaming the cat.

What all three of us promise

One groomer, start to finish

No bath department, no assembly line. The person who meets your pet is the person who finishes them.

Force-free, always

Breaks when the pet asks. Sessions end early if they need to — billed for what was done, never for what wasn't.

The phone call

Anything that changes the plan or the price — mats, skin, a nail issue — gets a call before we act, not a surprise after.

First aid, current

All three of us hold current pet first aid & CPR, and the vet clinic two blocks east knows us by name.
