Petal & Polish Nail + skin studio

Our space

Small on purpose, clean beyond argument.

Six nail stations, one skin room, two hundred shades, and air that changes every ten minutes. Here's the room you'll sit in — and the standards underneath it.

Shelves of nail polish bottles arranged in a colour gradient from corals and pinks to teals

The petal wall

Two hundred–odd shades arranged like a paint-shop sunrise. Take your time — there's a swatch ring for every collection, and no one will hover.

The nail room

Six stations, each with its own downdraft vent and warm lamp. Rolled towels, not clutter. The loudest thing in the room is the kettle.

An esthetician in a mask giving a facial treatment beside a professional skincare machine in a warm-lit room

The skin room

One treatment bed behind a linen curtain, our resurfacing and LED equipment, and lighting you can fall asleep under. Many do.

The small details

Low-odour gel systems cured under calibrated lamps, timed to the product — never a minute more under the light than the chemistry needs.

Hygiene, in writing

Six standards we hold whether you ask or not.

Most salon hygiene lives in a back room and a shrug. Ours is written down, visible at your station, and open to questions — asking is not rude here, it's expected.

Autoclave-sterilised metal tools

Every metal implement is scrubbed, ultrasonically cleaned, then steam-sterilised in a medical autoclave at 134°C — the same standard a dental office uses. Chemical soaks alone don't reach it.

Sealed pouches, opened at your station

Sterilised tools are sealed into indicator pouches that change colour only when a full sterilisation cycle has run. Your pouch is opened in front of you. If it arrives open, we start over.

Single-use everything porous

Files, buffers, orange sticks, toe separators, and wax spatulas cannot truly be sterilised — so they're used once. Your file goes home with you or into the bin, never into a drawer.

Pipe-free pedicure basins

Our basins have no internal plumbing — no jets, no pipes where water sits. Each one is emptied, scrubbed, and disinfected with a hospital-grade solution between every single guest.

Fresh air, changed constantly

Source-capture ventilation at every nail station pulls dust and fumes down and out — the studio's air is fully exchanged roughly every ten minutes. You'll notice what you don't smell.

One guest, one kit, one hour

We book on the hour with buffer time, so stations are reset — wiped, re-draped, re-stocked — before you sit down. You will never be seated at a warm chair.

Check us

What you should see at your station.

Use this list on us — or on any salon. If a station is missing one of these, you're allowed to stand up. We'd encourage it.

  • A sealed sterilisation pouch with a colour-changed indicator strip, opened in front of you
  • A fresh single-use kit — file, buffer, orange stick — still in its sleeve
  • A just-laundered towel roll and fresh station drape
  • A downdraft vent, quietly on, at every nail station
  • Hand-washing before we touch your hands — ours and, we'll ask nicely, yours

House notes

The rules that keep it quiet.

Appointment-led

We book on the hour with buffer time, so nobody waits in a queue and no station is turned over in a hurry.

Soft voices, no speakers

Take any call outside, keep videos on headphones. The playlist stays under conversation level.

One guest per station

Your chair, your kit, your hour. Friends can sit adjacent — ask when you book.

The kettle is always on

Linden, mint, or builder's tea. Cookies on Saturdays, first come first served.

Curious what it smells like? Almost nothing — low-odour gel systems and source-capture ventilation do the work. Come sniff for yourself: build a visit or just drop by the window.

Seen enough? Come sit down.

The chair is more convincing than the website. Build your visit, pick a slot, and judge the quiet in person.
