Products and ingredients
Is everything fragrance-free?
All of our face products and the body pair are made without added fragrance or essential oils. Some ingredients have a faint natural smell of their own, like shea butter. That is not added scent.
Do you test on animals?
No. We do not test our products or ingredients on animals, and we ask our suppliers to confirm the same in writing.
Are the products vegan?
Yes, every product in the current range is made without animal-derived ingredients. Our squalane comes from plants.
Can I use your products while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We do not sell retinoids or strong acids. Even so, check any new skincare with your doctor or midwife while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Will your products fix acne, rosacea or eczema?
No skincare product should promise that. Our products help with how skin looks and feels, like shine, dryness or a rough feel. For a skin condition, please see a doctor, dermatologist or pharmacist.
Using them
Do I need to patch test?
We recommend it for every new product. Apply a little behind the ear or on the inner arm once a day for three days. If you see redness, itching or swelling, wash it off and stop. Our journal has a step-by-step guide.
How long before I see a difference?
Moisturizers and balms feel better right away. Serums like Clear Day take 6 to 8 weeks of daily use before you can fairly judge them. Skin is slow, and that is normal.
I use a retinoid from somewhere else. Can I add yours?
Yes. Use the retinoid at night on dry skin, then Fog Cream or Long Night Cream on top. Keep Clear Day Serum to the mornings at first, and always wear sunscreen the next day.
How long does a bottle last?
Used twice a day, a 30 mL serum lasts about 6 to 8 weeks and Fog Cream about 8 to 10 weeks. That is why refills run every 6 or 10 weeks.
Orders and refills
How do refills work?
Choose refill every 6 or 10 weeks on a product page and you save 10% on that item. We email you 3 days before each order ships. Skip, change the date or cancel any time before then, with no fee.
Do discounts stack?
No. Refills save 10% and routine sets of three or more items save 10%. An item gets one 10% discount, never 20%.
Where do you ship?
Across Canada and to the United States. Prices are in Canadian dollars. See shipping and returns for times and costs.
Returns
Can I return something I've opened?
Yes. If a product does not suit your skin, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will refund it, even if it is opened. We ask for this once per product, so we can keep offering it.
My order arrived damaged.
Send a photo to hello@fogline.example within 7 days of delivery. We will send a replacement at no cost and you do not need to return the broken item.
