Our first pattern and still the one we measure everything against. The Deck Jacket is cut from 10-ounce organic sailcloth with a dry-wax finish that sheds drizzle, blocks wind, and scuffs in, not out. The stand collar is lined in recycled shearling, so turning it up actually does something.
Six seasons of small revisions live in this version: a two-way brass zip under the button placket, deeper handwarmer pockets, and a locker loop that survives being yanked off a hook. It weathers like a leather boot: every crease is yours.

Rained all week, stayed dry
Wore it every day on a rainy work trip. The wax beaded the water right off, and the collar actually blocks wind when you turn it up. My usual M fits over a thick sweater.

Stiff at first, worth it
Out of the box it is stiff and smells a little of wax. After two weeks it softened and now it creases where I bend. One star off because the wax rubbed onto a light shirt the first few wears.

Thanks, Owen. That can happen for the first few wears while the wax settles. Wiping the inside of the collar with a warm, dry cloth helps. We have added this tip to the care card.
