When a tooth is too broken for a filling, a porcelain crown rebuilds it — designed from a digital scan, matched to its neighbours, and built to take real chewing for decades.

A crown is a full-coverage cap for a tooth that's cracked, root-canaled, or more filling than tooth. Ours are all-porcelain — no grey metal line at the gum — and they start with a 60-second digital scan instead of the impression trays everyone remembers gagging on.

Visit one: we shape the tooth, scan it, and fit a custom temporary. Visit two, about two weeks later: your porcelain crown is checked for fit, bite, and colour in natural light, then bonded permanently. Most people stop thinking about the tooth entirely within a week — which is the whole point.

What happens

Step by step, no surprises

  1. Assess + plan

X-rays and photos to confirm a crown is genuinely the right call — not just the expensive one. Written quote before anything.

  2. Shape + scan

The tooth is prepared under proper anesthetic and scanned digitally. You leave with a fitted temporary the same day.

  3. Crafting (about 2 weeks)

A dental lab mills and glazes your porcelain crown, shade-matched to photographs of your real teeth.

  4. Fit + bond

We test the fit and bite, adjust by microns, and bond it. Cared for like a real tooth, it should last 10 – 15+ years.

Fair questions

Will the crown look fake?

No — porcelain is layered and glazed to match the translucency of the teeth beside it. We colour-check in natural light before bonding, and we don't bond until you're happy.

Is a crown better than a big filling?

Sometimes. A filling patches; a crown reinforces. When a tooth is more filling than enamel, a crown usually costs less over ten years than re-repairing. We'll show you the case for both.
