5 out of 5 stars Personal care
The visit notes are why I sleep
"I live in Denver and Mom lives alone in Middleton. Every morning visit ends with a note: what she ate, how the shower went, whether she seemed like herself. Twice the caregiver noticed something before I would have."
Karen S. · Daughter, Middleton

5 out of 5 stars Post-hospital care
Someone was there the next morning
"Dad was discharged on a Friday afternoon. I called at 2 pm and a caregiver was at his house Saturday at 9. She'd already picked up his prescriptions. I flew home Monday knowing he wasn't alone."
David R. · Son, Madison

5 out of 5 stars Respite care
Tuesday afternoons are mine again
"I take care of my husband. Our respite caregiver comes every Tuesday for four hours, and I go to lunch with my sister. He likes her, and I come home to a note and a clean kitchen."
Linda M. · Wife, Sun Prairie

5 out of 5 stars Dementia care
She speaks my mother's language
"My mother is more at ease in Hmong now than in English. They matched us with a caregiver who speaks it, and the hard afternoons have gotten much calmer."
Pa Houa V. · Daughter, Madison

4 out of 5 stars 24-hour care
A rough first week, then steady
"The first week we had two caregiver changes, which was hard on Dad. Marcus called us himself, fixed the schedule, and it has been the same three caregivers ever since."
Steve and Ann K. · Son and daughter-in-law, Verona
Our reply
Thank you for saying it plainly. That first week fell short of what we promise, and we've changed how we schedule new 24-hour clients because of it. Marcus, care manager

Dad has somewhere to go again
"Since he stopped driving, Dad barely left the house. Now Tomás drives him to the hardware store and the library twice a week. He talks about those trips more than anything else."
Rachel T. · Daughter, Fitchburg

I didn't want help
"My son set this up and I told him I didn't need anyone. Gloria and I do the crossword and bake on Tuesdays. I still don't need help, but I like her company."
Joan P. · Client, Monona

3 out of 5 stars Personal care
Good caregivers, but the minimum was more than we needed
"The caregivers are kind and on time. At the start, Mom only needed an hour of help with her shower, and the 3-hour minimum felt like a lot to pay for. We'd have liked a shorter option."
Michael B. · Son, Waunakee
Our reply
That's fair, and we're sorry it felt like too much at the start. Short visits are very hard to staff well, so we keep the 3-hour minimum and use the time for meals, laundry and a walk. We should have explained that better at the assessment. Hannah, care manager
