Plain and important
What our caregivers don't do
Hollyhock is a non-medical home care agency. That line keeps your parent safe. If the doctor orders nursing or therapy at home, a home health agency provides it, and we work around their visits.
-
Nursing care
Wound care, injections, IVs, catheter care, checking blood sugar. A home health agency or nurse does this.
-
Giving medication
Caregivers can remind. They can't fill organizers, hand out pills from bottles or decide doses.
-
Therapy
Physical, occupational or speech therapy comes from licensed therapists. We can encourage the exercises they give.
-
Live-in care
Every overnight caregiver stays awake. We don't place caregivers who sleep in the home.

Not sure which kind of care fits?
That's what the free in-home assessment is for. A care manager visits, listens, and suggests the smallest amount of help that would make a real difference, with the weekly cost in writing.
