Kite Hill Pediatric Dentistry

Welcome, new families

New to Kite Hill? Start here.

Everything you need before the first visit, in one place. Most families spend about fifteen minutes on it, all from their phone.

A front desk team member uses a tablet to check in a smiling visitor at a dental reception desk

Three steps before the visit

  1. Step 1: Book online or call

Two minutes online, or call the front desk. We confirm the time by text.

  2. Step 2: Fill in forms at home

We text a secure link for health history and consent. About ten minutes on your phone.

  3. Step 3: We check your insurance

Share the plan when you book. We call you if anything will cost more than you expect.

The forms

Sent by text after you book. Nothing to print.

  • Child's health historyMedicines, allergies, conditions and past dental visits
  • Consent and privacyWho can bring your child and see their records
  • Insurance detailsPlan name and member ID, or Kite Club and self-pay
  • Comfort questions (optional)Fears, sensory needs and what helps at home

What to bring

A short list. Plan to arrive about ten minutes early for the first visit.

  • Your insurance card, if you have one
  • A list of your child's medicines
  • A favorite toy or comfort item
  • Glasses or hearing aids your child uses
  • Legal paperwork if you're a guardian other than a parent

Free parking right outside, with two wide stroller-friendly spots by the door.

Getting ready, by age

  • Under 3

Book the morning, after a nap and a snack. Bring a spare diaper and the bottle or cup they use.

  • 3 to 6

Read a short book about a dentist visit. Keep it simple: the dentist will count your teeth.

  • 7 to 12

Let your child ask a question or two. Kids this age like to know how things work.

  • Teens

Let them fill in part of the form. They can ask for a few minutes alone with the dentist.

A word to skip: hurt, even to say it won't. Try "count", "tickle" and "sparkle" instead.

Good to know

Parents in the room
Welcome at every visit. If a different adult brings your child, add them to the consent form first.
Running late
Text us. If you're more than 15 minutes late we may need to shorten the visit or move it, so your child isn't rushed.
Changing a time
Please give us one business day's notice. We don't charge for a first missed visit; life with kids happens.
Two homes
We can send visit notes and reminders to both parents. Tell us on the consent form.
