Insurance & billing

No surprises is a clinical value too

Money stress is bad for hearts. Coverage is verified before every new visit, estimates come in writing, and the fee schedule below isn't hidden behind a phone tree.

Coverage we work with

How verification works here

When you book, June checks your benefits — network status, referral requirements, deductible position — and calls you before the visit if anything needs attention. If a test requires prior authorization, we obtain it before scheduling the test, not after performing it. Plan networks change; if you're unsure about yours, call (555) 014-7821 and we'll check together.

Self-pay

Flat fees, published on purpose

For patients without insurance — or who prefer not to use it — visits and tests are flat-fee, due on the day, with a written good-faith estimate beforehand. Sample figures for this fictional demonstration practice.

Self-pay fee schedule
Visit or test Fee
New consultation (60 min, includes ECG) $340
Follow-up visit (30 min) $185
Telehealth follow-up (20 min) $140
Echocardiogram $420
Exercise stress test $390
Stress echocardiogram $540
Holter monitor (24–48 h) $210
Extended patch monitor (7–14 days) $320
24-hour blood-pressure monitor $145

Billing questions

Straight answers about money

Will you check my coverage before my visit?
Yes — June verifies benefits for every new patient before the appointment and calls you if anything needs attention, such as a missing referral or a test that needs prior authorization. You should never learn about a coverage problem from the bill.
What will my visit cost with insurance?
It depends on your plan's deductible, copay, and coinsurance — which is exactly what the benefits check is for. Ask us for the expected amount when we confirm your booking; if a test needs prior authorization, we obtain it before scheduling, not after.
Do you bill facility fees?
No. We are an independent office practice, not hospital-owned, so visits and in-office tests are billed at office rates without a separate facility charge.
Can I get an itemized estimate in writing?
Always — self-pay patients receive a good-faith estimate automatically, and insured patients can request one for any planned visit or test.
What if I receive a bill I don't understand?
Call the office and ask for June before you pay or panic. Most billing puzzles resolve in one phone call, and payment plans are available for larger balances — we'd rather arrange one than send anything to collections.

Coverage question standing between you and a visit?

Don't let it. Call the office and June will check your plan before you commit to anything — or start with the heart check and worry about logistics after.
