Our story
Dana Calloway spent her first ten years as a lawyer on the labor side, watching good workers lose claims they should have won because they called too late, signed too fast or could not find a lawyer who would call them back. In 2011 she opened a two-room office on J Street with a simple promise: answer every call, and only ever represent the person who works for a living.
Marisol Ruiz joined two years later and built the wage practice, with intake in Spanish from the first call. Today four lawyers and a small team handle termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage, severance and accommodation cases across the Sacramento region and the Central Valley.
We are not the biggest firm in town, and we do not want to be. We want to be the one that calls you back, explains the risks honestly and stays with you until it is done.
