About the firm
A Minneapolis firm founded in 2008 to handle drug, device and product cases the slow, careful way: one client, one file, and someone who reads every page.
Section 01: Our story
It started in an operating room.
Karin Sundquist spent six years as an operating room nurse on an orthopedic team before law school. She saw implants fail, and she saw how hard it was for patients to find out why.
She opened the firm in 2008. Chidi Amadi, a process engineer turned lawyer, joined in 2011 to lead product testing and exposure cases. Today the firm is four lawyers, a nurse reviewer and an intake manager. We are small on purpose. Every client has a name here, not a claimant number.
The record usually tells you whether there is a case. I would rather read it with you than guess.”
Section 02: How we work
Three habits we do not break.
-
01
We investigate before we file
A case starts with records and research, not an ad. We read the studies, the recall notices and your medical file before we tell you anything.
-
02
A plain answer, including no
Most people who call us do not have a case, and we tell them so in plain words, with the reason, usually within a week.
-
03
Your records stay yours
We only request records you agree to, we never sell or share your details with other firms, and we return or destroy files when a review ends.
Section 03: By the numbers
The numbers we can honestly share.
- 5
- lawyers and specialists who read files themselves
- 1
- registered nurse reviewing every medical record
- 1 day
- longest wait for a call back on a business day
- 4
- written updates a year on every open case, even quiet ones
No win rates, no totals recovered. Those numbers say more about which cases a firm takes than how well it works.
Section 04: How we are paid
No fee unless money is recovered.
We work on a contingency fee: a percentage of any money recovered, written into the agreement before you sign. If nothing is recovered, you owe no fee.
Cases have costs, such as records fees, expert reviews and product testing. We pay them as the case goes. How they are handled at the end is written in the agreement, and we go through it line by line with you.
Section 05: What we will never do
Some lines we do not cross.
Free case review
Talk to someone who reads the file.
A free review takes about ten minutes. You get a plain answer: yes, not yet, or no, with the reason. Contacting us does not make you a client and costs nothing.
