Section 01: The lawyers
The people who read your file.
-
Karin Sundquist
Founding partner · Dangerous drugs and medical devices
With the firm since 2008 · Admitted in Minnesota and Wisconsin
Before law school Karin spent six years as an operating room nurse on an orthopedic team. She has handled hundreds of implants by hand, which is why she reads an operative report faster than most lawyers read a contract.
She founded the firm in 2008 to handle drug and device cases with the same care as a single serious injury: one client, one file, one person who answers the phone.
“The record usually tells you whether there is a case. I would rather read it with you than guess.”
-
Chidi Amadi
Partner · Toxic exposure and defective products
With the firm since 2011 · Admitted in Minnesota
Chidi worked as a process engineer at a manufacturing plant before he became a lawyer. He knows how products are designed, tested and cut back to save money.
He leads the firm's product testing work and its exposure cases, where the first months are spent rebuilding where a client worked and lived decades ago.
“An exposure case is a history project first. We rebuild the years before we argue about them.”
-
Rosa Mercado
Senior associate · Vehicle defects and crashworthiness
With the firm since 2016 · Admitted in Minnesota · English and Spanish
Rosa handles vehicle defect cases, from the first hold letter to the tow yard through engineering inspections and trial preparation.
She grew up in a family auto shop and speaks Spanish with clients who prefer it.
-
Paul Lindahl
Of counsel · Trials and appeals
With the firm since 2014 · Admitted in Minnesota and Wisconsin
Paul tries the cases that do not settle and handles appeals. He has tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts, and he has lost some of them, which he says is the only honest way to describe a trial lawyer.
Section 02: Behind the files
The two people you will talk to most.
-
Joan Thorsen, RN
Nurse records reviewer
Joan reads every medical file that comes into the firm and writes the plain summary our lawyers start from: what was diagnosed, when, and what the records do and do not show.
-
Tess Rasmussen
Intake and records manager
Tess is usually the first voice you hear. She runs the free reviews, sends records requests, and makes sure nobody waits more than one business day for a call back.
Lawyers admitted in Minnesota and Wisconsin. For cases filed in other states we work with local counsel licensed there. The people on this page are fictional, shown as initials on this demo site.
