Show up. It's most of the job.

Two dates on the calendar, and both move a campaign. Every event has an access note, a job for first-timers, and someone at the door who's glad you came. RSVPs help us plan chairs and childcare — they're never a commitment.

Solar on Schools canvass launch & training

Saturday, August 8, 2026 · 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Rosewood Park Pavilion — Rosewood Park, 900 Alder Loop, Calder City

Kick off the fall canvass with a full training track for first-timers: the fact sheet, the honest cost answer, and a practice door. Every new volunteer pairs with an experienced captain before knocking.

Training runs 10:00–11:15; first shifts go out at 11:30 with captains.
Everything is provided — clipboards, fact sheets, water, and snacks.
Kids welcome at the pavilion; shaded seating and a quiet corner available.

Access: The pavilion is step-free with accessible restrooms and reserved parking on Alder Loop. Walking routes are optional — there are seated roles at every launch.

Pack the chamber: Ready by 2030 council vote

Calder City Hall, Council Chamber — 1 Civic Square, Calder City

The full council votes on Ready by 2030. Six votes are pledged; a full chamber helps land the seventh. Wear yellow, bring a neighbor, and if you want to speak, we will help you write two minutes that count.

You do not have to speak — a full room of neighbors is testimony by itself.
Public comment sign-up opens at 5:30 by the chamber door; we will be there with talking points.
We debrief afterward at the Granite Ave office with something warm to drink, whatever happens.

Access: City Hall is fully accessible with elevator access to the chamber, assistive listening devices at the clerk's desk, and ASL interpretation on request via the city clerk.
