Full restaurant buyout
28 seats. Single seating. Custom menu options. Standard tasting + wine pairing service or modified for the occasion. From $24,000 minimum.
Half-room semi-private
Reserve 14 seats in a curtained section of the dining room. Other 14 still in service to public. Less intimate but ~half the cost ($12,000 minimum). Custom menu available.
Chef's Counter buyout
4-seat chef’s counter. Single experience or split with public dining room. Most intimate option. $5,500 minimum (4 guests at full Chef’s Counter rate + service fee).
Multi-day events
For 2-3 night events (e.g. wedding rehearsal + dinner; corporate retreat). We can coordinate. Pricing per night; significant logistical coordination required 4-6+ months in advance.
Off-site catering
We don’t generally do off-site. The food + experience are tied to our space. For specific corporate or institutional needs, ask — we’ll consider case-by-case.
What's included
Full restaurant buyout
Tasting menu for 28 guests
Standard 8-course tasting menu OR custom menu designed for your occasion. Chef + sommelier collaborate with you on menu selection in pre-event meetings.
Service team — full restaurant
Same service team that runs our standard service. Lead service captain, sommelier, multiple servers. Service is unchanged whether buyout or public.
Wine pairing — included or à la carte
Wine pairing for all 28 guests can be included (additional cost) or each guest can order from the wine list à la carte during the meal.
Custom menu design
Chef Lin will work with you on custom menu. From minor adjustments (substituting one course) to fully bespoke menus designed for the occasion. 4-6 weeks lead time recommended.
Decor + setup
Standard restaurant decor. Floral arrangements + minor decor additions accommodated. We’re a small space; major décor changes typically not feasible.
AV + tech
Limited. Microphone available. No projector or screens. The space isn’t designed for presentations; we discourage them.
Pricing
What buyouts cost
Buyout minimum — $24,000
28 guests at our standard $245/person tasting menu (without wine pairing) plus minimum guarantee. Most actual buyouts cost $32,000-$48,000 once wine + service charge added.
Wine pairing — additional
$165/person for full wine pairing. So $4,620 added to buyout for wine pairing for all 28 guests. Or à la carte if guests prefer to choose.
Service charge — 22%
Service charge added to all buyouts. Replaces tipping. Goes to service team (not chef + sommelier directly). Standard for fine dining.
Custom menu design fee
Custom menu for buyout: $1,500 fee. Goes to chef + kitchen team. Fee waived for buyouts that closely adhere to current standard menu.
Sales tax
8.625% SF sales tax on all food + beverage. Calculated at end. Receipt is itemized.
Final cost example
Standard buyout, 28 guests, with wine pairing + service charge + tax: ~$42,000 typical total. Larger buyouts with extensive customization: $50,000+.
Booking process
From inquiry to dinner
Initial inquiry — 4-6 weeks ahead minimum
Submit form below or email events@brassica.com. Include desired date, guest count, occasion, special requests. We respond within 2 business days.
Pre-event meeting — 4-6 weeks before
Video or in-person meeting with chef + events coordinator. Menu discussion, dietary needs, special requests. Most decisions made here.
Deposit — 50% of estimated total
Required to confirm date. Refundable if cancelled 30+ days out. Non-refundable within 30 days of event.
Final headcount + menu — 14 days before
Final headcount confirmed. Menu finalized. Specific dietary accommodations confirmed. Wine selections finalized.
Final payment — day of event
Final invoice + payment day-of. Includes any usage above estimated (additional wine, dietary substitutions, etc.). Payment by credit card or wire.
Day-of coordination
Events coordinator on-site. Service team prepared. Lead chef Sarah Lin in kitchen. Single seating; no public guests during your event.

Private event questions
What planners ask
- Minimum 4 weeks for buyout. Better: 6-8 weeks for full coordination. Some dates (Valentine’s Day, holidays, anniversary milestones) book months in advance. Inquire as soon as you have a date target.
