Prices and fees
What does "installed" include?
Mount $20, balance $15, a new valve stem $5 (or a TPMS service kit $12 on cars with pressure sensors) and disposal of the old tire $5. That's $45 a tire, or $52 with the sensor kit. Every one of those is a separate line on your quote and receipt.
Are your prices before tax?
Yes. Everything on the site is before 5% GST and 7% PST. The quote and the pricing calculator both show the tax lines so the total isn't a surprise.
Do you price match?
We don't run a price-match program. We publish our prices by size instead, so you can compare the full installed total with anyone else's.
How long is a quote good for?
Fourteen days. Tire prices move with our supplier's costs, so after two weeks we'll re-check and tell you if anything changed.
Changeover and storage
Do I need winter tires in Kamloops?
In town, it's your call, but winter tires stop much shorter on cold, icy roads. On the Coquihalla, Highway 97C and other signed BC routes, winter tires (mountain-snowflake or M+S, with at least 3.5 mm of tread) or carried chains are required from October 1 to April 30.
On rims or off rims: what's the difference?
On rims means each set lives on its own wheels, so we just swap them ($79). Off rims means we take the tires off one set of wheels and mount and balance the other set ($139). A second set of steel wheels pays for itself in about three seasons.
What does storage include?
One season indoors on racks, bagged and tagged with your name, plate and positions, with tread depth recorded. $89 for tires only, $99 on wheels.
Can I pick up my stored set without a swap?
Yes. Give us one business day to pull it from the rack.
Repairs, rotation and alignment
Can every flat be repaired?
No. Punctures up to 6 mm in the tread area can. Sidewall and shoulder damage can't, and neither can a tire that was driven flat until the inside creased. We'll show you either way.
Are flat repairs and rotations really free on tires bought here?
Yes, for as long as you own that set. Bring the receipt or just your phone number.
Do I need an alignment with new tires?
Not automatically. We recommend the $39 check with every new set. If the angles are in spec, that's all you pay.
Booking and visits
Can I wait while you work?
Yes. Our lounge has coffee, wifi and a window into the bays. A swap on rims takes about 30 minutes, four new tires about an hour.
Do you take walk-ins?
For flats, yes: they get the next open bay. Everything else goes faster with a booking, especially in October, November, April and May.
Do you work on trucks and trailers?
Pickups, vans and SUVs up to one ton, plus utility and boat trailers. We don't service commercial semi tires.
