Founding physician
Dr. Naomi Adjei, MD, FACP
“Most of medicine is listening. The diagnosis is usually in the story — if someone has time to hear the whole story.”
Dr. Adjei founded Atrium after twelve years in a health-system clinic where her panel crossed 2,300 patients and her visits shrank to eleven minutes. She kept a note on her monitor that read “what would I do with an hour?” — Atrium is the answer.
Her style is methodical and unhurried: a full history before any test, a written plan after every visit, and a standing rule that no question is too small for the message thread. Members describe her as the first doctor who ever read their chart before walking in.
She carries Atrium's most complex-care panel by design — members juggling several conditions, several specialists, and no one holding the map. Holding the map is her favorite part of the job.

“Chronic disease isn't managed in the clinic. It's managed on Tuesday nights at the grocery store. My job is to be useful there too.”

“The best preventive medicine I know is a body you enjoy living in. Everything else is easier to build on top of that.”

“When one doctor knows the whole household, care gets smarter. The kids' strep throat and dad's blood pressure are rarely separate stories.”
