LASIK
They talked me through the halos before I asked
I had read about night halos and was nervous. Dr. Holt brought them up first, showed me my pupil size and what it meant. I had some halos for about two months. Now I mostly notice them in the rain.
Wish I had known: Buy the good preservative-free drops before surgery day.

PRK
PRK was the right call for my job
I work in law enforcement and asked about LASIK. The map showed thinner corneas, and they explained why PRK made more sense. Days two to four were rough, honestly. By week three I was back at the range.
Wish I had known: Take the full week off. You will want it.

Cataract
My daughter came to the consult and it helped
Dr. Brandt explained the lens options without any push. I chose the standard lens and use readers for knitting. Colors are bright again and night driving is so much better.

Screening
They told me no, and I appreciated it
My corneas were not a good fit for LASIK. Instead of a sales pitch I got a clear explanation and a referral to talk about ICL later if I want. I trust them more because of it.

SMILE
Good result, slower than my friend's LASIK
My vision took a few weeks longer to sharpen than my buddy's LASIK did, which they warned me about. Now I ski without goggles over glasses. One star off only because parking on surgery day was tight.

Dry eye
Fixed my eyes before anything else
I came in for LASIK and left with a dry eye plan. Six weeks of compresses and one in-office treatment later, my eyes feel better than they have in years. I am still deciding on LASIK, and nobody is rushing me.

Lens exchange
Readers mostly gone, some rings at night
At 56 I was done with bifocals. I picked an extended-range lens. Reading menus is easy now. I do see rings around headlights, which they told me might happen. They are fading slowly.

ICL
My prescription was too strong for laser
At minus nine I assumed I was out of options. The ICL explanation was clear, including the pressure checks and the small cataract risk later. I can see the alarm clock now. I still tear up about that.

LASIK
Dry eyes lasted longer than I hoped
Vision is good, but my eyes were dry for about eight months, longer than the average they described. Jada and Dr. Solis were responsive and the plugs helped. I would still do it, but plan for drops.
Reply from Ridgeline
Thank you, Brian. Dry eye after LASIK can last longer for some people, and we are glad the plugs helped. Dr. Solis would like to see you again in the spring to check in.

LASIK
Prices matched the quote, to the dollar
I compared three clinics. Ridgeline was not the cheapest headline price, but the written quote included every follow-up, and the final bill matched it exactly.
