Procedures
Seven procedures. One exam to choose.
Laser options reshape the cornea. Lens options work inside the eye. Eye health care protects the sight you have. Your screening shows which ones are safe for your eyes, and we compare them with you.
Laser vision correction
Reshape the cornea, the clear front of the eye.
-
LASIK
All-laser, wavefront-guided LASIK for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, planned from a full map of your cornea.
$2,100 to $2,900 per eye -
PRK
Surface laser correction with no flap. A strong option for thinner corneas, contact sports and some careers.
$2,000 to $2,800 per eye -
SMILE and ICL
Two options beyond LASIK: a small-incision laser procedure with no flap, and an implantable lens for prescriptions too strong for laser alone.
$2,300 to $5,200 per eye, SMILE to ICL
Lens surgery
Replace or add a lens inside the eye.
-
Cataract surgery
Replacing a cloudy natural lens with a clear implant. Standard surgery is billed to Medicare or insurance; lens upgrades are your choice.
Insurance billed upgrades $1,200 to $4,000 per eye -
Refractive lens exchange
For people over about 45 who are tired of readers and bifocals. Your natural lens is replaced before a cataract forms.
$4,200 to $5,800 per eye
Eye health
Ongoing care that protects your sight.
-
Glaucoma care
Monitoring, drops, laser and surgery to slow glaucoma, with the same doctor reading your scans each visit.
Insurance billed SLT laser self-pay $900 to $1,400 per eye -
Dry eye care
Finding out why your eyes burn or blur, and treating it, including before and after refractive surgery.
Evaluation insurance billed in-office treatments $250 to $1,200 per session

Vision correction options, compared honestly
Long-term results are often similar across laser options. The differences are in who each suits, how the first weeks feel, and cost. Prices are ranges per eye before your exam.
| Procedure | How it works | Often suits | First days | Range per eye |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LASIK | Thin flap, laser reshapes beneath | Most stable prescriptions, healthy corneas | Clearer in 1 to 2 days | $2,100 to $2,900 |
| PRK | Surface removed, laser, surface regrows | Thinner corneas, contact sports | 3 to 5 uncomfortable days, sharp in weeks | $2,000 to $2,800 |
| SMILE | Laser shapes a disc, removed through a small opening | Nearsightedness, no flap wanted | Clearer in days, sharp over weeks | $2,300 to $3,100 |
| ICL | Thin lens placed inside the eye | High prescriptions, thin corneas | Often clear in days | $4,000 to $5,200 |
| Lens exchange | Natural lens replaced with an implant | Over about 45, tired of readers | Distance clear in days, near adapts over weeks | $4,200 to $5,800 |
Cataract surgery is billed to insurance; glaucoma and dry eye care are ongoing medical care. See their pages for costs.
Not sure where you fit?
Six questions point you to the right page and the right conversation. Only an exam can decide.
Free screening
Find out what fits your eyes.
A free 90-minute screening, a surgeon who reads the results with you, and a written quote per eye if surgery makes sense. If it does not, we will tell you that too.
