Studio Lumière is an aesthetician-led studio, and we're honest about where that line sits: injectables are medicine. Every injectable appointment here happens on a medical day, under our medical director Dr. Renée Okafor — an in-person assessment and prescription first, treatment only if you're a good candidate. About one in five consults ends with us recommending skincare or a facial series instead. That's the system working, not a sales miss.
Our range is deliberately narrow: neuromodulator for softening expression lines, and conservative hyaluronic-acid lip hydration. No cheek restructuring, no jaw filler, no 'liquid facelifts' — for anything beyond our scope we refer out to two Toronto clinics we trust.

Consult on a medical day
Dr. Okafor or our nurse injector takes a full medical history, watches your face move, and tells you plainly whether treatment will do what you're hoping.

Prescription + plan
If you're a candidate, dosing is written down — units, placement, and cost — before anything is opened. No treatment-room surprises.

Treatment, unhurried
The appointment is booked for twice the injection time. Numbing, placement, ice, aftercare — nothing is rushed.

Day-14 review, always
Neuromodulator takes 10–14 days to settle; lips need two weeks for swelling to resolve. We look at the real result together before calling it done.
Realistic expectations
- Neuromodulator softens lines made by movement; it does nothing for etched-in lines at rest or for skin texture — that's the peel series' job.
- Results last 3–4 months. This is a maintenance treatment, and skipping maintenance simply returns you to baseline — nothing 'sags.'
- Half a syringe of lip filler looks like you drank more water, not like a different mouth. That's the goal here; if you want dramatic volume, we're honestly the wrong studio.
- Bruising happens in roughly 1 in 5 lip appointments despite perfect technique. Never book lips inside two weeks of an event.
Downtime: minimal, with rules
- Neuromodulator: small bumps for 20 minutes; no lying flat or gym for 4 hours; full effect at day 10–14.
- Lips: swelling for 24–72 hours, possible bruising up to a week. Judge nothing before day 14.
