Fulcrum Orthopedics & Sports Medicine

About · since 2011

The point everything turns on.

A fulcrum is the point a lever pivots on. For most injuries, that point is a clear diagnosis and an honest plan. We built a practice around getting those two things right.

Built by people who play.

Fulcrum started in 2011 with two surgeons who were tired of rushed visits and vague plans. They wanted a practice where people left knowing what was wrong, what their choices were and how long each one would really take.

Today we are an independent group with three clinics in the Treasure Valley. We are not part of a hospital system, so our physicians decide how long a visit takes, and our therapists work down the hall instead of across town.

We see high school soccer players and retired pickleball regulars, skiers with fresh knee injuries and runners with slow-building pain. The plan is different for each of them. The honesty is the same.

How we work.

  • Non-surgical first

Most people we see never need an operation. When surgery is the better choice, we say so plainly and explain why.

  • Ranges, not promises

Recovery is shown as honest ranges. We never quote success rates or promise a return date.

  • One roof

Surgeons, a sports medicine physician, physical therapists and an athletic trainer share one chart and one plan.

  • Answer the phone

A person picks up on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. If we cannot help, we will tell you who can.

Fifteen years, in six lines.

  1. 2011

Dr. Varga and Dr. Sorensen open a two-room clinic on the Boise Bench with one X-ray machine and a borrowed front desk.

  2. 2014

Physical therapy moves into the same building, so surgeons and therapists can talk in the hallway instead of by fax.

  3. 2017

Walk-in ortho urgent care opens at Boise Bench, for sprains and fractures that do not need an ER.

  4. 2019

Dr. Quiroga joins for hip and knee replacement. The Meridian clinic opens with urgent care on weekdays and Saturdays.

  5. 2022

Dr. Natarajan starts the concussion clinic. The Eagle clinic opens with sports medicine and return-to-sport testing.

  6. 2026

Three clinics, eight clinicians, and the same rule: write the plan down before you leave.

Eight clinicians, one chart.

Three surgeons, a non-surgical sports medicine physician, two physician assistants, a physical therapy lead and an athletic trainer. Your plan is shared across all of them.
