the team · four people, one price book
The people who answer, and the people who show up
Three licensed techs and one dispatcher, all working out of the Broad Street shop. No call center, no subcontractors, and nobody paid to sell you a lock you don't need.

since 2012Marcus Reyes
Owner · master locksmith
Apprenticed in his uncle's shop in Greensboro. He opened Cardinal in 2012 after one too many customers told him what the last locksmith had charged them. He wrote the price book and still takes the overnight line on Tuesdays.

who comes to your door
Four things true of every Cardinal tech
Licensed one by one
In North Carolina each locksmith holds a personal licence, not just the shop. Every tech carries the card and shows it before starting.
Background-checked
Everyone who comes to your door has passed a criminal background check, renewed every two years.
Paid by the hour, not the upsell
No commission on parts. The tech earns the same whether your door needs a $40 fix or a $340 lock.
Marked van, named invoice
Cardinal on the van, the shirt and the invoice. If the name ever doesn't match, don't open the door.
