Pricing and quotes
How much does tree removal cost?
Most removals in our area land between $350 for a small tree and $3,500 for a large one. Trees over a house that need a crane can run $3,500 to $7,500. Our pricing page shows every range, and your firm number comes after a free on-site look.
Is the quote really free?
Yes, for removals, pruning, stumps and planting. A health check by an arborist has a small visit fee, and that fee comes off any work you book within 60 days.
How fast will I get a quote?
We reply to every request the same business day and usually walk the tree within two business days. The written quote follows the visit, often the same afternoon.
Do you take a deposit?
No deposit on jobs under $2,500. Bigger jobs and crane days take a 20 percent deposit once the date is booked. Never cash up front.
Safety and insurance
Are you insured?
Yes. General liability and workers' compensation for every crew member. Our insurance agent emails you the certificate directly before we start, so you know it's real.
What does certified arborist mean?
It means the person passed an exam on tree biology, pruning and safety and keeps up with continuing education. Ask any tree company for the credential and look it up yourself.
Can you cut near power lines?
We don't work on trees touching or within 10 feet of energized power lines. Only utility line-clearance crews can. We'll help you call the power company and handle the rest once the line is safe.
The work itself
Do I need to be home?
Not for most jobs. We need gate access, cars out of the drop zone and pets inside. We'll text you when we start and send photos when we finish.
What happens to the wood?
Your choice. We haul it all away, cut the trunk into firewood rounds, or leave wood chips for your beds. No extra charge for leaving it.
Is stump grinding included with removal?
It's a separate line on the quote so you can choose. Most people add it. If we grind on the same visit, it costs less than a separate trip.
When is the best time to prune?
For most trees, late winter is ideal because there are no leaves and fewer pests. Dead or dangerous limbs can come off any time of year.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree?
Sometimes. Protected trees, street trees, HOA rules and stream buffers can all need approval. Our permits guide explains the common cases, and we check your address before we quote.
Storms
Will insurance pay for my tree removal?
Many home policies help when a tree falls on a covered building, and some help with blocked driveways. We can't promise what yours pays, but we give you photos and an itemized invoice that make the claim simple.
What should I do if a tree hits my house?
Get everyone out of the rooms under it. Stay far away from any downed lines and call the power company or 911 if a line is involved. Take photos, then call our storm line.
