Langford & Wray Criminal Defense · Richmond

Eleanor Langford

Founding partner. Nine years as a public defender before founding the firm in 2009. Eleanor has stood beside clients in hundreds of hearings and still answers her own phone.

“I can't promise you an outcome. I can promise you'll never wonder what's happening in your case.”

About Eleanor

Eleanor spent her first nine years as a lawyer in a public defender's office, carrying a heavy caseload in courtrooms across the Richmond area. She learned to read a police report for what it leaves out.

She founded the firm in 2009 with a simple idea: people charged with a crime deserve a lawyer who calls them back, tells them the truth, and prepares like the case is going to trial.

Today she leads the firm's assault and domestic work and tries the cases that do not settle. Clients say she is calm in the courtroom and blunt in the office. She takes both as compliments.
