Appeals referral
We do not handle appeals ourselves. We review your outcome for free and refer you to appellate lawyers we trust.
Appeals are their own craft. They need a lawyer who spends their days writing for higher courts. That is not us, and we would rather tell you so.
If your case has ended and you think something went wrong, we will review it with you at no charge, explain the deadlines that may apply, and connect you with appellate counsel we know. Deadlines can be short, so call soon.
How we help
- Free review of your outcome
- Deadline check
- Referral to appellate counsel
- Help gathering the court file
What to know right now
- 1 Appeal deadlines can be very short. Do not wait to ask.
- 2 Most appeals look for legal errors. They are usually not a new trial with new witnesses.
- 3 In some lower-court cases, a fresh hearing in a higher court may be possible. Ask about it.
General information, not legal advice for your situation.
What the review covers
- Review the outcome and the court papers with you.
- Flag any deadline that may apply.

Questions about appeals
Why don't you handle appeals?
Because appellate work is a specialty, and you deserve a specialist. We would rather refer you well than learn on your case.
Does the referral cost anything?
No. Our review and referral are free. The appellate lawyer will quote their own fee.
Answered 24 hours a day
Ask us to review how your case ended.
Your first case review is free. Tell us what happened and when your court date is, and an attorney will call you back. If someone is in custody right now, call us instead.
