How it runs
-
1
Week 1: Foundations
Focus games, reward timing and how to use treats so you can fade them later.
-
2
Weeks 2 to 5: Build it up
Each skill gets harder in small steps: longer stays, busier rooms, outdoor practice in our fenced yard.
-
3
Week 6: Real-world walk
We take the class out on a short neighbourhood walk to put it all together.

An honest note
Group classes are not the right start for dogs who bark, lunge or panic around other dogs. That is not a bad dog, just a different plan. Our Reactive Dog Program starts one-to-one.
From Basic Obedience families
-
"Small class, two trainers, and nobody made me feel silly when Bean ate a treat bag in week one. By week six he walked past a squirrel. A real squirrel."
Aisha K. with Bean, 9-month-old Lab
-
"Kind trainers, clear plan, no harsh tools. Hazel is a big girl and people used to cross the street. Now she sits politely when someone says hi."
Daniel F. with Hazel, 7-month-old pit mix
Questions about Basic Obedience
My dog is 3 years old. Is that too late?
Not at all. Adult dogs learn quickly, often faster than puppies, because they can focus for longer.
Do I need to bring treats?
Yes, bring soft, pea-sized treats your dog loves. We also keep a jar of high-value treats on hand for tough moments.
