The studio
One room, one client, no rush
Loupe is a single salon suite in the Starland District. There's no front desk, no waiting room, and no one in the next chair. Just Noemi, a treatment bed, a magnifying lamp, and an hour that belongs to you.
Why one room
Noemi opened Loupe in 2022 after years in a dermatology office and a busy day spa. She liked the skin work in both. She didn't like rushing between rooms, or selling a membership to someone who needed a dermatologist.
So she rented one suite and built the business around a close look: every client gets the full appointment, the same esthetician every time, and an honest answer about what will help.
The name comes from the loupe, the small magnifying lens jewelers and estheticians use to see what the eye misses. It's also the promise: we look closely before we do anything.
How we work
-
Look closely
Every visit starts with a real look at your skin, under a magnifying lamp, before anything goes on it.
-
Say it plainly
What a treatment can do, what it can't, and what it costs, before you agree to anything.
-
Refer early
If something needs a dermatologist, you'll hear it on day one, not after six facials.
-
Fewer products, used well
Most routines need three or four steps. We take things away more often than we add them.
Hygiene
Clean, in boring detail
Clean is the first thing a new client should be able to check. Ask to see any of it, any time. The studio is also inspected as a licensed personal care business.
-
Single-use, opened in front of you
Dermaplaning blades, microneedling cartridges, and extraction lancets are used once and go straight into a sharps container.
-
Sterilized metal tools
Tweezers and extractors are cleaned, then sterilized in sealed pouches. You'll see the pouch opened.
-
Fresh linens, every client
Sheets, towels, and headbands are washed hot after every visit. The bed is wiped down between clients.
-
Clean hands, clean gloves
Hands washed before every visit, fresh gloves for extractions and anything that breaks the skin.
-
Products that stay clean
Product is scooped with a clean spatula, never fingers. Nothing goes back into the jar.
-
Surfaces disinfected
Every surface you touch is disinfected between clients, including the door handle and the card reader.
What goes on your skin
Fewer products, chosen on purpose
Professional skincare lines, fragrance-free wherever we can, and mineral SPF to finish every visit. Ingredients are listed on request, and if you have an allergy, it goes on your file and we check every product against it.
- Fragrance-free cleansers and masks for sensitive skin
- Superficial acids only: lactic, mandelic, salicylic
- Low-temperature wax for brows
- Mineral SPF after every treatment, every season
We're not a medical spa
Plenty of clients book with us because they want skin care without the injectables pitch. We keep it that way, and we refer to dermatologists we trust when something needs a doctor.
- No injectables, fillers, or prescriptions
- No lasers or IPL
- No diagnosing moles, rashes, or growths
- No medium or deep peels
- No microneedling deeper than 0.5 mm
- No lash extensions or microblading
