Acne treatments

  1. Forehead: often oily skin, hair products, hats, or helmets.
  2. Nose and T-zone: the most oil glands, so blackheads and clogged pores.
  3. Cheeks: phones, pillowcases, touching, or a product that irritates.
  4. Jaw and chin: often around hormonal shifts. Deep, sore spots here deserve a doctor's visit.

How Noemi approaches it

Acne care is less about one big treatment and more about steady, gentle work. We clear clogged pores, calm inflammation, and take harsh products out of your routine so your skin stops fighting itself. Noemi spent four years in the cosmetic side of a dermatology office, so she knows what an esthetician can help with and what needs a doctor. If you are already on a prescription, we work alongside it.

What it can do

  • Clears blackheads and clogged pores safely
  • Calms the look of redness after breakouts
  • Builds a home routine that does not strip your skin
  • Tracks progress with private photos you can see

What it can't do

  • Prescribe medication or replace it
  • Treat cystic or nodular acne on its own: that needs a dermatologist
  • Promise clear skin by a certain date

Safety first

Not today if...

These are the reasons we'd pause, change the treatment, or ask you to check with your doctor first. Your intake form asks about each one, so nothing gets missed.

  • Deep, painful cysts or nodules: please see a dermatologist first
  • Acne that is leaving scars
  • Sudden adult acne, or acne with irregular periods or new hair growth (worth a doctor's visit)
  • Acne that has not improved after 3 months of a steady routine
  • Isotretinoin (Accutane) in the last 6 months: no exfoliation or extractions, but we can still help calm and hydrate

How the appointment goes

Times are a guide. You can ask questions, pause, or say stop at any point.

  1. 0 to 5 min

    Check-in

What changed since last time: routine, cycle, stress, sleep, products.

  2. 5 to 20 min

    Cleanse and exfoliate

A salicylic exfoliation to loosen what is clogging pores.

  3. 20 to 40 min

    Extractions

Surface spots and blackheads only. Never deep cysts: squeezing those makes them worse.

  4. 40 to 50 min

    High frequency and mask

A calming, clay-based mask on the busiest areas.

  5. 50 to 60 min

    Finish

Optional LED, a light moisturizer, SPF, and your updated home plan.

The days after

  1. Day 0

Some redness where we extracted. It settles within hours.

  2. Days 1 to 3

A few spots may surface as clogs clear. Hands off.

  3. Week 2

Your next visit. We adjust the plan based on what we see.

  4. Week 12

We compare photos and talk honestly about what is working.

Anything that feels wrong, like blisters, swelling, or pain that grows instead of fading? Text Noemi the same day, and see a doctor if it's severe.

About the LED add-on

Fifteen minutes of blue and red light at the end of a facial. Many clients find it calming. It's a nice extra, not a cure, and you don't need it for the plan to work.

Prices in US dollars. New clients pay a $25 deposit that comes off the bill. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead and there's no charge.

Questions people ask

All FAQs
Will you tell me if I need a dermatologist?

Yes, and early. Deep cysts, scarring, or acne that came on suddenly as an adult are all reasons to see a doctor. We can keep treating you alongside their plan.

Do I have to buy your products?

No. We'll look at what you already use and often take things away. If you need something new, we'll name the type of product and you can buy it anywhere.

I'm on a prescription cream. Can I still come?

Usually yes. Tell us exactly what it is on your intake form. Some prescriptions mean we skip exfoliation or extractions for a while.
